Drumming Icon Ian Paice to Participate in Rock Legends Adventure 2008
- Deep Purple drummer rounds out workshop for budding rock stars
- Private registrations being accepted currently / Casting shows on radio and in press soon
Cologne, Germany, April 3, 2008 - Legendary drummer and pioneer of the heavy rock drum sound Ian Paice is the final international rock powerhouse to sign up to participate in this year's Rock Legends Adventure. The event will be held from May 21 to 24 in Cologne. Paice will join fellow musicians, including John Miles, Lee Sklar, Herman Rarebell from the Scorpions, and Toto frontman Steve Lukather at the multi-day rock workshop. The event will be followed by a rock gala benefit at Cologne's E-Werk venue. German actor and musician Uwe Ochsenknecht will participate in Rock Legends Adventure as a special guest.
Rock Legends Adventure is aimed at music fans who want to fulfill a dream by participating in this exclusive workshop. During the three-day event, participants will enjoy not only a minimum of eight hours of on-stage rehearsals and jam sessions with the best in the music industry, but also eat their meals and stay in the same hotel as their idols. To ensure that the grand finale concert goes as smoothly as possible, all participants will receive sheet music, CDs and a set list of the songs planned for the show.
The goal of the event's organizers is to bring amateur and professional musicians together while also supporting charitable, music-related projects. This year, a portion of the revenues generated by the event will be donated to the "Musik Hilft" ("Music Helps") music therapy initiative by the Nordoff Robbins Stiftung (Foundation).
The participants in Rock Legends Adventure 2008 are currently being selected in radio casting shows on public radio stations and some private radio stations in Germany, as well as via contests in the print media. Interested music fans can also register and pay the regular participation fee on the organizers' Web site.
The sponsors of Rock Legends Adventure will have the chance to take part in a number of glamorous PR opportunities at the gala rock benefit that go far beyond ho-hum, everyday marketing. These include branding and promotional opportunities, VIP tickets including a meet-and-greet, a stay in a 5-star hotel, and reserved workshop participation spots. Media partners will enjoy the opportunity for live reporting prior to and during the event featuring interesting and prominent guests in an authentic rock ambience.
The full list of rock legends taking part in the event, rules for participation, ticket prices and sponsoring opportunities are available on the Rock Legends Adventure 2008 Web site. http://www.rocklegendsadventure.com
